When you look on most popular wedding search engines, you won’t find The O club as a venue option. You probably pass it on the streets of Downtown St. Augustine and never actually see its’ beauty. For us military daughters, we see something else. Some of us visited our parents at work there, attended a promotion there OR just really love the idea of wrapping in something personal to our wedding day that connects us to our parents. The cobblestone courtyard is used as the parking lot for the government vehicles during the day, super easy to not see the vision BUT DAMN if this isn’t the most amazing little nook full of opportunities for an insane wedding design.
Back story. I go way back with the Torres family. National Guard family and I am an NG daughter and spouse now, myself. Nicole, Paige’s bonus mom worked with my father! When I waited tables, Paige also started working there before she went to bootcamp! Naturally, it’s an honor when people who are close to you decide to give you the reins on their wedding day. Paige & CJ are both members of the Guard as well, the connection to this building was just a no brainer. ALSO, Pantone can say blue is the color of 2020 but it was coming up strong in 2018. So, to see this beautiful blue palette come to life in Spring 2019 was a vision.
These two are charismatic, hilarious and pretty dreamy together. They enjoyed their big day and had friends and family come from all over the world! What a day it was!
